Deputy Director
Roya Zahed is Deputy Director of the Obama Foundation Scholars Program, helping values-driven leaders deepen their work and refine their leadership approaches for enduring social impact. With over 15 years of experience across higher education, international development, and government-sponsored exchange programs, she specializes in strengthening leadership capacity for the "long arc of change."
Roya holds an MA from The George Washington University and a BA from the University of Washington. Originally from the Pacific Northwest, she now calls Washington, DC home. Outside of work, you can usually find her reading historical fiction, practicing her jump shot, or running her small business as an illustrator.
