Session Description: As the coaching profession evolves, AI is becoming a practical partner that can help coaches save time, serve more clients, and strengthen their business impact. Yet many coaches still approach AI with hesitation, using it sporadically or not at all. This session bridges that gap by providing a structured, ethical, and confidence-building way to use AI tools in coaching without losing authenticity or breaching ICF standards.
In this highly interactive workshop, participants will learn the RAT-FEET Framework, a context engineering method that replaces ad-hoc prompting with structure and intention. RAT-FEET (Role, Audience, Task, Format, Examples, Exclusions, Tone) enables coaches to create structured AI workspaces that consistently produce context-aware, coaching-aligned outputs. Participants will understand how to communicate effectively with AI systems that preserves their coaching voice and values.
Rather than prescribing specific applications, this session invites each participant to identify their own AI use cases, areas in their business or practice where structured prompting could create new value. That may include business operations, client support, program design, reflection tools, content creation, or entirely new ideas. Participants will explore these opportunities through guided reflection and peer collaboration.
Through small-group activities, attendees will design, test, and refine their own AI prompts, comparing “vague” versus “RAT-FEET” structured examples to experience how context engineering transforms results. These activities will identify how minor adjustments in context produce more relevant, ethical, personalized, and coach-consistent outcomes.
To reinforce responsible use, the session introduces the "Responsible AI Practice Guide," a one-page ethical tool aligned with the ICF Core Competencies, Code of Ethics, and Acceptable Use of AI Policy. This guide helps coaches define how AI fits within their practice, clarifying its purpose, boundaries, and safeguards. Each participant will receive a digital template to adapt for their own business, ensuring that AI is used with transparency and integrity.
