Barrett Brooks is an executive coach, writer, and CEO of Presence-Based Coaching. His work is grounded in a belief shaped through lived experience: that meaningful leadership and lasting success require attention not only to what we build, but to who we are becoming along the way.
In his coaching practice, Barrett works with executives and leaders across media, education, and entrepreneurship, helping them move beyond performance and into leadership that is integrated, sustainable, and internally resourced. His approach blends strategic insight with deep personal development, drawing on somatic coaching, the PBC methodology, and over a decade of executive experience.
As CEO of Presence-Based Coaching, Barrett stewards a 20-year legacy of world-class coach training at the intersection of mindfulness, somatics, neuroscience, and developmental psychology. Prior to PBC, he served as COO at Kit, scaling the company from $3M to $30M in ARR.
Barrett is an ICF-certified coach based in Portland, Oregon.
