Michelle Reugebrink, MCC, NBC‑HWC, is the Founder of Comprehensive Well‑Being LLC and Co‑Founder of the Well‑Being by Design Coach Training Institute. She is the former Director of Education for the Federal Internal Coach Training Program (FICTP) at the U.S. Office of Personnel Management, where she helped shape the coaching culture across federal agencies. A Certified Mindfulness‑Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) Teacher through UMass Medical School, Michelle integrates somatic wisdom, trauma‑informed practices, and nature‑based methodologies into her coaching and leadership development work.
With more than 8,500 documented coaching hours, Michelle is recognized as the first Master Certified Coach (ICF‑MCC) within the federal government. She is a Nature & Forest Therapy Guide, Trauma Resiliency and Somatic Well‑Being Specialist, Certified Coaching Supervisor (EMCC ESIA/EIA), and National Board‑Certified Health & Wellness Coach. Her work has been featured in TIME Magazine (2018–2020 anniversary editions) and Mindful Magazine for her contributions to mindfulness, resilience, and wellbeing in public service.
Michelle spent 39 years in federal service, including 16 years in wildland fire, serving on engines, hand crews, and hotshot crews. Her leadership in health, wellness, and resiliency earned her national recognition, including the Paul Gleason “Lead by Example” Award, the Chief’s Award for Health and Safety, and being named one of America’s 31 Firefighting Heroes by the National Fallen Firefighter Foundation. She is also listed in Who’s Who in America (2025–2026) as an expert in mindfulness, health, and wellness.
Michelle is known for her grounded presence, compassionate coaching style, and her belief that transformation begins with how we show up. As she often says, “We coach as we are.”
